Returning back to this town
The place I find so familiar
But after travelling so far
It seems so bizarre
Walking down the same old roads
Past where I used to live
The memories echo through my mind
But I see it now in a different light
After waving goodbye to the place I love
Set sail for a distant land
A whole other world, thousands of miles away
Where the mundane, to me, became surreal
And now I've returned
I don't think I'll ever see home the same again
And I wouldn't change that, not for the world
