The Fire Burns
Poems
Sep 2016
Dawn
on the horizon
a subtle glow
the night notices
the creeping flow
darkness' reign
begins to end
as daylight
oozes slowly in
a make up brush
pinks the sky
applying rouge
were birds will fly
a splash of blue
begins to appear
just as the sun's
face is reared
shadows remain but
clouds ignite
night holds on
but will lose this fight
the rooster crows
as bats go to roost
the coffee perks
I need a boost
