Cupids Arrow

What's now come into fruition
Is my lacking inhibition
For the discovery of a suitor
Or a counterpart addition
So I've come to the decision
I no longer bare ambition
To seek out the one and only
That I so long had envisioned

The stars never seemed to be aligned
No exploding worlds collide
Hidden somewhere in the cirrus clouds
Cupids arrows passed me by
I've gazed adoringly into the eyes
Heard random strangers spewing lies
Caught the reflection of despondency
That could not be denied
Although with valid vindication
Of the conclusion I've surmised

So many days spent searching
Along the vanquished path
Thinking I would become whole
When united with my better half
What is meant to be will be
Accepting fate completely
If my dispersed love returned to me
I'd cease in roaming wild and free
With the possibility of forever
Yet, still destined for uncertainty
Finding love always seems to happen when you aren't looking for it.
