Ember
Smoldering in the dark
Decaying crevices in my heart
A once proudly raging spark
Threatens to disembark
What once was warm is cold
Even my bones feel old
Peaceful memories wilt and mold
Sanity will soon unfold
No way to reignite
This fire in my life
No tranquility awaits me
When I turn out the lights.
