" She sits in her favorite corner of the home that imprisoned her. Reading a novel written by the late author James Alan McPherson's Crabcakes: A Memoir. The book lays open across her *******, as her head leans back into a deep rest. With her eyes closing rapidly, she dreams of the life that was wished for many years. Only to be hurt upon hurt, shedding her terrible tears. Never a fit in with the children at school. To always be tossed away again, and again. Being introduced to the word we call cruel. The years flew by, never finding the right guy. Her self esteem fell to the ground . Always feeling safe running to her home. Comfort became her companion. Her friends were in the books she read, and would visit places like the Grand Canyon. We truly wonder what lies deep in the mind of an Old Maid? Shame? Rejection? Definitely never making the grade. What i do know is that they serve, Some are nurses, whom i write about is just a plain Maid. She's also a child of God, and that makes me glad."
Like the old song say's. " Everybody's Beautiful. In Their Own Way."
