I feel it
The spontaneous and wonderful hope
That hangs in the air with each breath
With each lingering word comes "if"
Because every action is a fork in the road
And that fork leads to more of its kind
And as you stand there on the verge of each decision

I feel it
The spontaneous and wonderful hope
But a fork is a fork for a reason
And on the other side is a horrible fear
Because a hope is just a hope
A longing that you turn the right way
The way that will land you on a rainbow with a smile on your face

I feel it
The spontaneous and wonderful hope
And the potential for it to be
Absolutely
Destroyed
Attempting a different style
