Sticky sweet smell
Sweat
Manuror
Hay
So soothing sound
Flies buzzing
Hooves thumping
The tickling touch
Little hairs on skin
Sloppy wet tongue
Gross!
Gently giggling
At the sweet silliness
Of the moment
Beautiful horses
Waiting wonderingly
At what today brings
Apples?
Carrots?
Oats?
But what they will never know
Is that they are
My only safe haven
Left
