"You like him"
You looked at me
Eyes wide open
Denied it in all languages
I just snorted at you
We'll see about that

Then it started
Bit by bit
You were angry
Confused and then finally
Gave in to it
I asked if I needed to talk to him
You said
Yes and then no and then yes.

Today you finally made it to him
And I'm overjoyed
I laugh from my heart
I feel like we just won.
The fact is
That you won
In your own life
And I couldn't be happier

If it weren't for the
Quick twist of the knife
In my heart
As I watch your conquest
And realise
That it might never happen to me.
Quietly I make peace with that
And smile as I watch you go.
Those who can't do, teach.
