On the internet
I can dream

That things
Are not this way

That I will spend
My life
Alone another day

I hope to talk
To a beautiful woman
A "woman of my dreams"

But she is more
Interested in
The Jamaican Davaugn

Women like her
Love strong and powerful
Black men
It seems

I've seen it
Time and time again

And I shouldn't
Even try
To be so manly
Like him

Big and strong
Well-hung too
He's a powerful
Force in the bedroom

She let me watch
What he could do

And As I sat
On the edge of
The bed and
Began to cry

I could only
Help to ask
"Why"

I've worked out
And tried to be
A man

I'm doing the best
The very best
I can

My muscles aren't
Big enough
And my pen**
Is too small too

I'm Maddeline
And I'm a woman
Through and through
