Past Lovers

by desiree-gallegos

Whose arms would I stumble for in darkness? Lips laced with liquor and memories lost. To see you once again, a drunken mess, Kiss me without pondering the real cost. My footsteps are fading fast before me, My vision becoming blurred and dull. The lights are dimming; you are all I see. Catch me fast to break this heart throbbing lull. What shall I say to you with drunken thoughts? Will honesty linger on my bleached tongue? My stomach is churning, my heart in knots Please make me happy like songs I once sung. Will you ever forgive me for this mess? I need you to love me once more, not less.
