I put up my fortress of solitude clouding all despicable thoughts
My body wilts under your cold glare
Curling in on its self like an autumn leaf
My heart begs it not to be true
Screaming to not give in
Not to except the obvious
But my mind knows
That this is what it is
Another catastrophic
Heartbreak
a random lady once told me
there's arsenic in the
town water supply so i'm
trying to drink it every day

the dishwasher is running
sandwich cooler is cooling
and i'm curled in a ball in
the dark on one of those
square cushioned wood
framed couches

and if i shut my eyes
tight enough i'm a kid
again on a lazy saturday
afternoon but i don't
want to be a kid again and
it happens to be monday

i've met a boy recently
and he's a person
unlike i who am one
part girl to one part
shaking hands to
one part arsenic

i'm screaming into
the void that i
hope this works out
hope this works out
hope this works out
but i have a feeling in
the pit of my stomach
that i might ruin it

or maybe that's
just the arsenic

Oh, when  my darkest thoughts  overtake me
and my mind wanders back
over  the nameless years
of my life
Oh, how I consider
how my life is spent
and how worry has worn me away
in my endless quest to make you mine.
Oh, the walls are high
and the way is steep
and oh the thorns they grow!
Oh, all the obstacles
that seem to block my way!
As though the world
seeks  to slay me
before I find you my love
to hold you forever in my arms.
Oh, but I know
you are ever as pure and true
like the north star
to ever shine your guiding light
within my heart.
Oh, though the rage
of the storms upon this sea
and the waves threaten
to engulf me
I shall ever seek the fortune
of my soul
on that dark and rolling sea
till my heart finds your heart
and forever we shall be.
Oh, you are the angel
that holds me in the palm of your hand
and to you
my heart shall ever belong.

The longest day,
The deepest breath
You always knew me the best.
My second spring,
Without you here
I wonder who I'll be this year.
The greenest grass,
The bluest skies
I hide the ugliness of my insides.
The warmest sun,
The afterglow
Of a girl whom I'd like to know.
The longest day,
The deepest breath
I won't wait for you again.
The time is now,
No room to wait
Gaia dealt a brand new day.
