Seeming like everything is perfectly okay on the outside, our minds twist and contorts on the inside.
When all else fails, count back from 10, people say, take deep breathes.
But, how can you tell a person who is literally drowning, to breathe?
In ways, our thoughts are like water, it's fine to wade in them for a little bit, but go too far out and you'll start sinking.
All it takes is for one thought, just one, and it will forever drown you.
Engulfed in thoughts is just as horrible of an experience as falling into a bottomless pit.
Thoughts are devastating, no matter what anyone tells us, its just as hard to forget as it is to remember.
All of your biggest failures and fears, although unknown to anyone else, exists in here.
It's like a chain reaction from a bomb, it starts as a miniscule flame, then builds up to a great explosion, that before you know it, takes hold of you and leaves you feeling immobilized.
Each and every day, it becomes more of a challenge, to hide all of your dreams and aspirations.
Afraid of being criticized, judged, and held accountable for all the wrongs you may set in motion while fulfilling your innermost desires.
Thankfully, our loved ones are there, sometimes not physically, but emotionally, no matter the distance or circumstance, holding a rope for us to grab onto when we go too deep, and for this reason alone, we can safely swim in the depths of our thoughts without fear of drowning.
