And every time I fall asleep
I forget
For a little while
How much I miss you
How much I wish I could undo
What's been done
Every time I fall asleep
I forget
For a little while
How I took you for granted
How badly I wish I could go back and
Stop myself
Every time I fall asleep
I forget
For a little while
The mistakes that I've made
The intertwining cords of emotional connectedness
That I snipped
In a split second
In a moment that replays
Dragging
Slowly
In my mind
Over
         And
                   Over......

Every time I fall asleep
I forget
For a little while
The color of your eyes
The safety of your embrace
The smoke that rolled
In wispy curls
From your lips
I forget
For a little while
And I find myself
More at peace
With the reality
Of losing you
fire in her eyes
