Up and down the keys he plays,
And the crowd he does amaze,
And never once has he stopped,
Take a drink or take a walk.

On and on his sad song goes,
And when he began no one knows,
And no one could say when he will stop,
But on and on it goes.

His song that he plays,
Can be heard in the sky,
By his lost daughter,
Who’s said her goodbye.

Every now and then,
I go and listen,
To his sad song,
And his sad tune.

And I know in heaven,
His daughter listens,
Looking down,
With a heartbroken smile.
