How I want you to know how much He loves you,
but I cannot convince you it's true.
How I want you to know that you are forgiven
and can have a new life,
but I cannot make you see that sin causes strife.
How I would like to be the one who leads you to Him,
to pray the prayer that will be the new beginning.
For you.
Perhaps I am not the final link in the chain of souls
who brings you to God.
Perhaps it is someone else down your life's road.
But I thank the Lord that I can be a link in the chain.
