May 2016
I met her on a carrousel we'd both been riding
all our lives. I felt my firetruck sliding
round and round and up and down
as I saw her in the distance on a camel
right next to a clown.

I waved
she glanced,
our ways of transportation danced
and slaved
and carried us
but never closer.

Exiting the vehicle in the middle of a round
is against the rules.
