Behind that smile I've always noticed the pain,
But I was the weaker one, falling for the sound of your rain,
You made me forget what it felt like to be afraid of love,
Now I'm wondering if I'll ever be in the same presence of your touch,
I'm wondering if someone else is the reason for your smile,
And if there is I couldn't blame you, look at the miles between us,
Look at the many rivers and mountains that separate our reasons,
Reasons for us to be together, reasons for us to pull down the moon together,
Reasons for us to march on unknown land,
But we can't,
the reason somebody else is probably holding your hand,
The reason somebody else is standing where you stand,
I'm sorry I'm so far, I hope you find it in your soul to understand,
