Dream

a seven o’clock alarm, my wake up call to reality gentle golden sunlight gleams through my window leaving a beautiful glow that coated everything except me i lay still as the trees dance to melodies sang by birds and sway to the whisper of the wind for a brief moment i feel calm i have no worries as i watch the morning bloom into the day my alarm goes off as i awake to the sad realization that everything beautiful in my life is nothing but a dream
