Poems
May 2016
.. the subtle odor of love (
.
She wanders the streets like a dog in heat
Rubbing up against fire hydrants
Babbling inanities aboutΒ Β HIS EYES !
and sterile safety
And ultimately
Social fear
)(
Sniffing each other in and out
Panting and salivating
Like an addict getting FIXED
)(
Subtle the odor of death
Subtle the stink of oblivion
In the blank stares of naked children
Seen as objects and used as fools
)(
Melting
Merging
Meaninglessly
Till dead from boredom
And tired of ******
And getting *****
They finally
Get a job
Or go on welfare
Mindlessly existing
Till the agony ends
.
