I.

Created on the first day to separate,

the darkness from the light,

the brightest star bestowed by the gods

     II.

All circle around it while

it forms the circle of life,

giving plenty reasons to our diverse seasons

  III.

Don’t go too far because it gives life

Or too near, it will bring you

death in disguise

  IV.

It’s the first thing blind sees

When he gets his sight

The fields, oceans, faces and the skies

    V.

Sun has the power to change the form of water

and, ice making it flow

or disappear like smoke

  VI.

We say goodnight as it departs,

Bidding the most stunning goodbye

Only to come again tomorrow

VII.

Like a mother in the cold

Giving warmth to its children

The sun runs through the dusty fog reaching out for us

VIII.

Flaunting its zillion hues the sun

Glows bright in the navy sky

Bringing an end to the day at twilight

  IX.

Wake up call of the robin

Softly pinches our ears and making us wonder

Are they up to catch a worm or the warmth of the sun?

     X.

Men will come and men will go

But the sun will exist endlessly

With its fire burning for eternity as in hell

  XI.

The moon has its scars, the Saturn its rings

the sun is a perfect sphere from

everywhere I look and admire

XII.

Despite its distance, it can make

The oceans dance like a peacock

Its tune is the best song playing on the shore

XIII.

Oh Sun! hiding behind the hills

I awe your beauty, power and might

We wait for you again, for the morning light
