May 2016
I identify as a monster,
Fangs invisible except at my weakest,
Claws receded into my fingers,
Eyes a bloodshot red.
From these words,
You imagine me fearsome.
You imagine me murderous.
Feral. Animalistic.
And perhaps I am.
But only to those,
Too ignorant to see my heart.
