It's cold out
and the snow is falling fast
But when I look at you,
I feel warm,
really warm

I like your long hair, girl
You're pretty,
a princess
and oh, those big white teeth

You're smile is big, girl
Like the sun,
like beauty herself

I know it gets hard,
when you want to run fast,
when you need to move far,
away from the fears that bind you,
from the hate that surrounds you

You'll be okay, girl
You're stronger than you know
What you've got in you,
could move mountains,
crack lightning
and make waves

I've seen it, girl
Earth and sky came together,
to form a woman like you
Just like the hawk that sits on your fence,
basking in big sun,
unaffected by the sound
