She just wants to be happy,
Is that too much to ask for?
A little sliver of happiness,
In her world of pain.
Darkness,
Is her friend with no name.

She just wants the pain to end,
Just for once.
Remembers when she was little,
How naΓ―ve she was.
How pure,
And innocent just because.

She needs this,
The only thing she has ever asked for.
She needs this,
Before she hits the wall.
Before her road ends,
Before her parents get the call.

She just wants to be happy,
For a short time.
To take her mind away from reality,
To think about something other than the pain
She just wants to be happy,
And not to feel insane.
