If the sight of me irks you...
I will recede from your view.
If my presence upsets you...
I will disappear.
If my voice riles you...
I will speak to you in silence.
If my touch suffocates you...
I will keep a distance.
If what you are doing now will heal you...
I am with you.

But...
*I am still here, in every way I have been,

still here looking out for you...
still here caring for you...
stillΒ here to do anything for you.

No matter how long it takes,
I will wait....
for you to look me in the eye again...
for you to embrace me again...
for you to let me in,
*into your world again...
I will do what it takes to be able to hold your hand, lend you my ears and shoulder, again.
