In Remembrance
Remembering one
solitary being
is what society
is not seeing.
Drink this wine
and eat this bread
does not stand for
what is dead.
The purpose to be
is what you and me
should honor and treasure
through memory.
But maybe
only the dying
can see
with vision
that looks
eternally.
