As we age and realize
That we want more
Than what's just
Before our eyes

It's not just money
Or having material possessions
It's having reasons to smile
And something to look forward to
At day's end

Life's not about
Working until your too old to work
And it's not about
Having more money or things
Than those you know & don't

I believe we were all put here
To enjoy and love each other
And see things
That fascinate our minds
And soothe our souls

So don't let the created flow
Of society corrupt
Your natural being
And never let the words of others
Influence your perception
Cause we're all just here
Trying to make our existence useful
And make our parents proud
