A day, twenty-four hours,
Not long enough that blooms
A bouquet of flowers
But long enough that oblivion
Settles with solitude
Staring into this soul.

A day, twenty-four hours,
Not long enough
To cause a soul to cower
Yet just enough
To shackle and shake the power
Staring into this soul.

A day, twenty-four hours
Long enough
To elevate loneliness into a tower
That I plunge from.
