what do i know
fumbling through
some limp aspirations
of still feeling whole

why did you come
and go; I'll never know
the wreck in my chest
can't bare to forget

traded vowels & consonants
rearranged the rhymes
don't know what we found
meanings or consequence

some mirrored articulation
as I lived on your lips
for too few hours
but you fit so nicely around these
knuckles as your breath
filled the room
[and that little whimper is] the most favorite sound I've ever heard
