Sitting alone staring at this blank page,
wondering what I could fill it with.
Words swirl around in my head as I start to write them down,
who will read them since all have gone away.
No longer do they call or clamor for attention.
Those who meant a lot to me have vanished in the haze,
leaving a distant memory behind.
Time is a fleeting ship out on the ocean,
it sails faster and farther away as I sit here on the shore.
Watching and waiting to hear from you.
The ones that vanished in the haze, forgotten and abandoned.
Oh wait, that's me.
