She's a mystery, sci-fi story
Beaming her thoughts from Mars
She is hiding, a curious heart
From all that's lost

He's on a journey, to the painting
She once drew alone
Her smile ain't fair, but he's waiting
For the train to board

He'll write her a song nowโ€Ž, her face in the foreground
It's pouring with rain but he don't care
He'll run through the fieldsโ€Ž, trample flowers that steal
The beauty of everything that she has let him bear

If for one moment, their pride is unbroken
Nature will marvel at the masquerade
Disguises have fallen, words are unspoken
History repeats itself again
