Twinges
starting to calm down,
then comes the uncontrollable
twitch
of the finger.
muscles spazz
not used to
sitting so long.
unmoving,
until the body
becomes still as
air in
summer heat.
eyes closed.
i feel the earth as it spins under me.
my heart beats to the rhythm of the clock.
