At the end of the day on a stone jetty, I watch the silver break of the waves crest onto the massive stones. I pull my jacket close around me as the gulls dance about on the chilly ocean breeze. I hear the distant blast of a horn on a merchant ship coming from afar to bring her wares to our shores. The sun begins to go through it's transition as it changes colors from yellow to orange to red. At it hits the horizon and gives golden and red hues to the few clouds that begin to form. The ships, and waves becomes shadows silhouetted in the last few rays, as the sun yields to the first stars of the evening. In a few brief moments both are perfectly aligned and both night and day touch on the dark blue horizon of an ocean sunset.
