Forgive
An image forms in a mind that sleeps
never willing to take that leap
Transgressions past that cling and claw
will this anger ever thaw
A burning desire that never fades
comes in many burning shades
The toll of holding on to hate
leaves the soul a fragile state
Forgive the past for you will see
the best of life is being free
