Mar 2016
as the time suggests,
even wearing sunglasses
will not ease me
into being a cat
of loathing the sun;
i sometimes have to
raise my hand and block
the sun,
capture it, feel its warmth
cupped in the hand,
so i can use my eyes to
peer into the screen;
indeed the moon
is an easier orb to appreciate;
you can't find anyone
tanning in its light.
