Whisper?

You whisper it all in my ear, as if it would make more sense. You’re still leaving in the morning, was this all just pretense? “I’m leaving, there’s nothing I can do about it.” “You’re leaving, are these feelings you can’t admit?” You say it’s not that easy, life gets in the way. I say it could be easy, what if you were to stay? You whisper it all in my ear, and kiss my shoulder afterwards. You’re still leaving in the morning, were those all just careless words?
