Oh, you bring me to life
your beauty and your song
the way you move
and such inward grace.
Oh, how I am raptured by you.
When you are near my heart beats faster
like a galloping horse.
Oh, you burn within me.
And I with a heart
that hangs on your every word
cannot bear to part from you
to be one minute apart from you.
For one minute from you
brings me such worry and heartache
that I fear my heart would beat no more.
I imagine a thousand things and more
"Oh, have you left me for another
and give him the pleasure
that you once gave me.
Or have you fallen among robbers
that have carried you away.
Or has some beast
torn and eaten your flesh."
Oh, the worst pain I could ever suffer
is to know that you have grown tired of me
and your love grow cold
And you have left me all alone.
Oh, I would follow you
to the ends of the universe
and seek you forever among the stars
for you shall forever be in my heart
till that heart beats no more
and then evermore
through all the endless eternities.
