The Autumn of Us
A leaf fell,
Trees grew burnt,
Had lost our names inside a heart.
Time gone apart from the clockturns;
We forgot where we sat.
A leaf fell, ever gone away.
Your heart longed cold,
Had swum the abysmal depth of forgetting.
