As humans we close of our hearts, As though your worth is by your shopping carts, Nothing that really sets us apart, As though money is where life starts, And the richer you are, the bigger your heart.
A world where worth is measured in income, So blinded by the greens and its sum, That as humans we eventually succumb, To the phrase 'The bigger your car, the bigger your *****', Never enjoying anything green or scenic, Swapped value for profits, And pray to prophets in the office, We have been blinded, By what is inside our wallets, As though our appetites exists of expensive scallops, And everything we know is, only about money.
