Light in the darkness,
Yet darkness in the day.
Just the right kind of madness,
In the best and worst way.

Organized dysfunction,
Chaos within the calm.
Quiet sits upon my lips,
But my words are in my palm.

I cry when I'm happy,
And laugh when I'm sad.
I like you and I hate it,
For softly driving me mad.

I dream of you when I'm awake.
You're not who I thought I'd find.
Fascinated yet terrified,
You're the calm in my restless mind.

Hesitantly I reach out,
With my hands wide closed.
Carefully I observe,
Myself juxtaposed.
