i'm a lover in form
of passionate, faithful mate
i am a business executive too
setting a horrid pace

a father, son, brother, grandchild
in some familiar roles
also an intellectual hedonist
i am a temporary soul

but my poems will endure
nothing else i fear
generations get forgotten
setting my sights clear
