A Poem
Happy Birthday to me
31 years today
No one to hug or love
And I guess that
Will have to be okay
Walking off
On some mountain trail
The world is just so big
So far away
Far away
Far away from you
And it's a shame
Because just one
Small hug would do
No one to meet
No one to hug
And so I walk alone
And so I write these poems
Planet earth bores me
And the whole life
Experience too
Just keep on keeping on
That's all I am
Left to do
I wish for my birthday
A woman here
Would say, "I love you"
This poem is about the human need to feel close or cared for by another human being. Something I have never experienced.
