Forever in love with
a gold chain and memories.
Tearing me down
who would’ve thought we’d
be enemies.
Dizzy nights and dark dreams
that brought us together
now tear at our being
as your thighs stick to
the leather.
Foggy windows and
hot boxed cars
forever leaving behind traces
of who we were and
who we are.
Crave your initials
into an old tree,
and leave behind the last trace
of what we used to be.
