Oh, my love
how I wish to embrace you
and give you all the love
I have within this mortal frame.
Oh, when will we meet face to face
and love each other as true lovers.
Oh, my dear love
you hold my heart
as though it were a bird in a cage.
You have captured me
and yours I will forever be.
and oh how I long to be with you
and behold you face to face
and speak to you of my deep love
and longing.
you are far away beyond the setting sun
and oh how I long to be with you.
it seems sometimes in my loneliness
that you are only the words upon the page I write
and oh how this makes me feel
so forlorn to my hearts breaking.
Oh, my dear love come face to face
and touch me in a loving embrace
so that as days and years roll by
we shall forever live in a loving embrace.
Oh, come my dear precious love
and let us not be half strangers
but come each to the other from so far away
and share our loving embrace
and the love in both our hearts
as though it were some moist
and delicious fruit
from the garden of Eden
that grew so long age
and we as earths only man and woman
share the fiery love from our hearts
that shall be from everlasting to everlasting
and such as would make all creation blush.
