I sat and watched you as you were making all of those  mistakes
I wondered if you would ever believe me that you just can't go that way
But you knew what you knew and you kept on going. letting the light shine in
It's bright and I'm hoping
Time will not know me
I'd rather be turned to rain

But it's dry in the summer and I'm hoping and hoping
that your leaves will never  change
When the winter is coming, I know that I'm lying
I'll make the same mistake

You couldn't tell me
One good reason
Why you should stay
But you kept talking
Lightning and thunder
Without any rain
