Dec 2015
It's Christmas here
And people drive
From all around

To see the lights
Of our small
Neighborhood town

A world full
Of 7 billion people
And yet
I'm mostly alone

No place on earth
That really
Feels like home

And though I'm content
I enjoy what I do
And I don't pay rent

I find it strange
And find it queer
That my holiday
Will not be filled
With much good cheer

I'll call my good friend
And see him too

I will go on a hike
A fun thing to do

And young Americans
Are isolated
And all alone

And to these lonely
Americans
I dedicate this poem

There should be
No stigma
And no shame

We don't have
Enough money
To go out

We are not to blame
