Poems
Dec 2015
deflated by deception
your wounded soul
peers through the mask you wear
that covers your heart
you cannot disguise
the pain you've endured
for i see it in your eyes
this betrayal...
it has hit you
like a left handed sucker punch
and has left you grasping
and pleading
for the surety
you've once felt.
"i don't like to see
so much pain..."
