Earphones

Sometimes I envy those earphones.

They got the freedom to sing to you.

How intimate a whisper can be?

As there are lyrics in my heart

Still seeking the right notes.

How can your footsteps be so comforting?

Your whistle the sound I miss in silence.

Your voice like milk poured in a glass

And your laughter like the gentle rain in summer.

Every sound of you I memorized

But will you ever hear me?
