You lay me down,
A gentle disarray of confound and misunderstood coincidences.
Cover me in a veil of sacred virtues,
non-existent outside this hush chamber.
Shield me from unrelenting scowls, awaiting my presence.
Let me eyes fasten shut,
let my hearing be narrowed to only your voice, a soothing, steady tune
Singing lightly in my mind.
Unleash all my demons from their bonds,
and allow me to sail.
Sail to a distant world,
One beyond their clutches.
