I don't wear rings anymore
they hook memories
like invisible magnets
and bring them to the shore.

Like washed away things
lying on the sand
they wink at me
as if to say,
what a folly
we are really.

I don't wantΒ Β
a ring
from anyone
ever again.

Help me God
hold my empty hand.
