I long to be a child of the church once again,
I left it because you are not with me,
and
I can't go without you with me,
I can hear you tell me,
I am wrong to leave the church,
I hear you tell me to go back
and be a Child of The Church once again,
I long to be a child of the church once again,
and
sing the hymals of God
and
Praise his name,
But somehow I can't go
back
because you have gone away.
I long to be a child of the church again,
I know this would make you happy to hear
that I was a child of the church.
